When Facebook launched their "Likes" feature, we were flattered. It sort of validated our original concept. Unfortunately, we didn't quite have the same market clout and financial support to get our "we did that first" message out loud enough, but the moral victory was there.
Now it has happend again, and we're starting to wonder how to better propagate our vision at least a few years earlier than the others (OK, we know how to, just haven't done it). Below is a screenshot from our 2007 development pages which illustrates our Group functionality. Again, our use of specific 'Circles of Trust' was far ahead of Facebook and now even Google+, but even then the concept wasn't wholly novel. So when other tech bloggers opine about the genius and foresight of Google's new social platform (bloggers who were probably in high school at the time we built ours), or it's ability to allow more granular control in the form of "Circles", we can yet only relish another moral victory. That's OK - we're not upset...that much.
